The Warning That Shakes the Foundation

A Faithful Warning in an Age That Hates Alarm

The judgment day is coming,

We warn you faithfully;

A shelter find in Jesus;

Be saved eternally.

We plead with fervent pleading:

From wrath and peril flee,

And find in Christ a refuge,

A hiding place for thee.” The Judgment Day Is Coming, We Warn You Faithfully (Elisha Hoffman)

Warning and Redemption

The message we proclaim is not selective, nor is it softened by fear of offence. We preach Christ to all, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, because every soul stands shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. The call to repentance and faith to every man, for the need for every man. No one is exempt from accountability, and no one is excluded from God’s grace and mercy.

Colossians 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

The Imperative of Warning

Our mission is unequivocal: to preach, to warn, and to teach every man with absolute wisdom. This is not a casual invitation, but a critical proclamation that carries eternal consequences. The goal transcends mere words - It should be your desire to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

The Approaching Judgment

The drumbeat of impending judgment reverberates with unmistakable clarity:

The "perfection" Paul speaks of isn't a state of moral flawlessness we achieve on our own; it is the state of being "found in Him." When we flee the "peril" and enter the "Refuge" of Christ, His righteousness becomes our covering. The "Hiding Place" is where our perfection is found. We are "presented perfect" because we are standing behind the one Shield that the judgment cannot pierce.

If You Loved Them, You’d Wake Them

We live in an age that finds "warning" to be offensive and "pleading" to be intrusive. We are told that to tell someone they are in danger is "judgmental." But if you see a person sleeping in a house that is silently filling with carbon monoxide, the most hateful thing you can do is let them sleep in "peace." The most loving thing you can do—the most faithful thing—is to shake them and plead with them to wake up.

The "emotional gravity" of these passages is found in the tears of the watchman. The warning isn't proclaimed from a position of superiority; it is proclaimed from the doorway of the Shelter by someone who has returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls.

There is a day coming that will test the foundation of every life. Delay is dangerous, and indifference is costly. The refuge stands ready, but it must be entered. The "peril" is real, the "wrath" is certain, but the "Hiding Place" is open wide. The warning is the most beautiful sound you will ever hear if you understand that it is a love letter from a God who refuses to let you perish without a fight. He isn't just watching the clock tick toward judgment; He is sending messengers with "all wisdom" and "fervent pleading" to bring you home.

The Kindness of the Alarm

Don't mistake the alarm for the fire. The alarm is the mercy. The plea is the grace. Step out of the "peril," leave the "scarlet" of your past at the door, and find in Christ the only Refuge that can turn a fugitive into a masterpiece, presented perfect before the throne of God.

Trading Your Debt for His Deliverance

Why the Best Things in Life Aren’t Earned, but Gifted

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Deep Divide Between Sin and Salvation

The passage encapsulates a profound truth that serves as the cornerstone of your Christian faith. It contrasts the dire consequences of sin with the abounding grace of God.

Sin is never presented in Scripture as ugly at first glance. It comes clothed in promise—pleasure without consequence, freedom without restraint, fulfillment without submission to God. It whispers that obedience is bondage and that self-rule is life. Yet Scripture pulls back the veil and tells the truth about sin’s nature and its end. Sin is not merely a mistake, a weakness, or a lapse in judgment; it is rebellion against God’s righteous law. And because God is just, sin does not float harmlessly in the moral universe—it earns a requisite payment.

Sin promises you much and delivers ruin. God promises life and gives it freely. The question is not whether sin will pay—it always does. The question is whether you will continue working for death, or receive the gift of life that only God can give.

  • The “wages of sin” – Sin is a rebellion against God’s perfect standard. Like a laborer receiving payment for work performed, the result of that rebellion is death, not merely physical cessation but a spiritual separation from the Source of life.
  • The “gift of God” – In stark opposition, God offers something that is unearned, gratuitous, and abundant: eternal life. This is not a wage earned by good deeds; it is a free gift bestowed to you through Jesus Christ, whose sacrificial death and resurrection satisfies you debt that your sins incurred.

The Gift of God

In sharp contrast, the phrase "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" introduces us to the transformative power of God’s abundant grace. This gift is not earned through human efforts but is freely bestowed upon you, regardless of your past. It highlights a magnificent truth: God longs for reconciliation and provides a pathway to restore your relationship with Him. The essence of this gift lies in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who bore the consequences of your sins so that you might experience redemption.

This eternal life is not merely an abstract concept of existence beyond death; it signifies a vibrant, personal relationship with God that begins in the present and translates you into eternity. It is an invitation to live fully, enveloped in faith, hope, and charity, free from the burden of guilt of sin and its condemnation.

The Final Invitation

Imagine standing at the edge of an abyss that your own mistakes, fears, and failures have dug; the law points and tells you plainly you must fall.this is a consequence of your actions. Then another hand reaches across—marred and marked, not to condemn but to deliver. Those hands hold the gift: costly, tender, boundless. "You need not pay what you owe; receive it today.” In that single exchange the verdict is transformed, debts are erased, and a grace so vast it defeats death itself wraps you into everlasting life.

God is not standing before you with a ledger, demanding payment—He is standing with open hands, offering life. You do not have to work your way out of death; you are invited to receive your way into life. The cross declares that death has been paid for, and the empty tomb proclaims that the gift still stands. Eternal life is not a reward for the worthy—it is a gift for the willing. Take it, and live.

Peace on Earth Starts With Accepting The Lord’s Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The Lord’s Promise But Your Responsibility

The phrase “Peace on earth, and mercy mild. God and sinners reconciled” points to the Lord’s vision: a world where fellowship exists between God and man. But this peace is not automatic—it is 100% dependent on reconciliation with God.

Without man accepting that reconciliation, true peace remains elusive and nonexistent. Human conflict, natural disasters, and inner turmoil are symptoms of mans spiritual condition. People may seek temporary peace through wealth, power, or relationships, yet these efforts cannot satisfy the deeper need for peace and restoration with God.

Why Man Refuses Reconciliation
  1. **Rebellion Against Authority – God’s mercy requires humility. You might view reconciliation as a loss of control or independence, so you resist.
  2. **Misunderstanding God’s Mercy – You fear that coming to God exposes you to judgment rather than mercy. You fail to recognise that God’s mercy is mild, not harsh, and leads to peace rather than condemnation.
Step Into Christmas Reconciled – Don’t wait—accept God’s first move of love and restoration today!

The Sword and the Scalpel

Then he brought them out and said, Sirs what must I do to be saved (Acts 16:30).

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house (Acts 16:31).

Once a sinner accepts Jesus Christ for the full payment of their sins, there is no process nor schedule, there is no ritual--Salvation is immediate. You are saved!

*Conviction and Clarity

In the moment Scripture is heard, it swiftly convicts. (Psalm 147:15; Hebrews 4:2).

*Rapid Transformation

The word of God performs the circumcision of the heart.

*Lasting Impact

The action of God's word is enduring and eternal.

The power of God’s Word lies in its unique blend of precision and power. The word of God can penetrate the deepest parts of your being...the word of God is fast, it's alive.  The word of God moves with speed to accomplish God's will, specifically in your hearts.

The Lord's Still Small Voice

Are you Listening...

So often, we look for God in the spectacle. We search for Him in the earthquake, the fire, and the dramatic moments of our lives. We expect a grand performance.

You are absolutely looking in all the wrong places. God isn't in the noise we create...but we have the mind of Christ.

Are you listening for the still, small voice?

1 Kings 19 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
