The Price Of Your Salvation

The Exchange That Cost You Nothing

1 Corinthians 7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

The Cost of Your Freedom

“Ye are bought with a price” means that your life is not without value or purpose. In the Christian understanding, the “price” points to the costly sacrifice of Jesus Christ: you have been redeemed, not with something temporary or insignificant, but through Jesus Christ giving Himself for you. Salvation, therefore, is not merely rescue from sin; it is a change of ownership. You are no longer defined by the demands, approval, status, or expectations of other people.

“Be not ye the servants of men” does not mean refusing to serve others. Rather, it means refusing to make human beings your ultimate master. You can love people, help people, submit to rightful authority, and serve others faithfully, while remembering that your deepest allegiance belongs to Christ.

The Call to Authentic Service

There is a profound paradox here: you are free in order to serve. But your service flows from a different source. You are called to serve Jesus Christ and his church, to embody His love, to surrender your will to the One who already surrendered everything for you. This is not servitude, it is purpose. It is choosing to align your deepest desires with the One who knows you completely and loves you absolutely.

Beyond Darkness Cold Grasp

Your life has been purchased. Not as an abstraction, not as a general truth for "Christians" or "believers," but as a specific declaration about you, your existence, your name, your particular struggles and hopes and secret desires.

So I ask you: Who are you serving? Is it the tyranny of what others think? The desperate chase for their approval? The hollow promises of success, beauty, power, or possessions that the world dangles before you? These are cheap masters that consume you and leave you empty. You were made for more.

You were once lost, drifting in a darkness you could not escape, but you have been claimed. You are no longer a castoff or a slave to the world's whims because a love beyond measure paid everything to bring you home. This is your salvation: that you are known, you are wanted, and you are finally free. Now, let that gratitude burn within you. Let it turn into a longing that consumes everything else a deep, unwavering desire to give your life back to the One who gave everything for you, serving Him not out of obligation, but out of an overflowing love.

Trading Your Weakness for His Strength

The Only Amour That Gives You Strength

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Complete Protection

The Holy Ghost exhortation in Ephesians 6:11 is fundamentally about spiritual resilience. The word "armour" means complete protection not partial defense, not selective coverage, but the whole armour. This redundancy is deliberate. Paul, is not suggesting that believers pick and choose their spiritual weapons; he is commanding total, comprehensive preparation.

The Purpose: To Stand

Here is where the Holy Ghost focus becomes crystalline: the goal is not aggression but stance, a position to stand. Steadfastness even while under assault. The foes are described as numerous, powerful, and subtle; without God’s armour, standing is impossible. “To stand” means holding one’s ground, refusing to be driven back, and maintaining position despite pressure, deception, and attack; you do not surrender your position. This is not merely defensive survival but resilient stability: the believer remains fixed in truth, righteousness, faith, and salvation even when the enemy presses hard.

Satan’s Tactics

Satan does not always attack with obvious force. He works through deception, temptation, discouragement, distortion of truth, and psychological warfare. His tactics are subtle, sophisticated, and tailored to each individual. He knows your vulnerabilities. He knows where you are weakest.

The devils' wiles include:

  • Deception about God's character—making Him seem harsh, distant, or uncaring
  • Temptation to compromise—"Just this once won't matter"
  • Discouragement—suggesting that your faith is insufficient, your prayers go unanswered
  • Isolation—pulling you away from community and accountability
  • Distortion of Scripture—twisting God's Word to justify sin

So when the darkness presses in, stand. When temptation calls your name, stand. When Satan reminds you of your past, stand. When fear tells you to run, stand. Not because you are adequate, but because your Saviour is sufficient.

Your Need For A Saviour

And if you have never truly been saved, if you have never been born again do not presume that you can face the enemy without Christ. You need Jesus. You need the salvation that only He can give. Come to Him in faith. Trust Him, not yourself as the only sufficient Saviour.

Because when the devil's wiles come against you, the ultimate question will not be how strong you are.

If you're reading this and you've never truly accepted the free gift of salvation  let me speak directly to you: you cannot stand. You are not equipped. The armor Paul describes is not available to you not because God is withholding it, but because you have not entered into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. You may feel strong. You may feel like you can handle life's spiritual attacks on your own. But you cannot. The moment a real crisis hits, the moment real spiritual darkness presses in, you will discover that you have been naked.

The Rebirth That Equips You

But here's what God is offering you right now: transformation. Rebirth. A complete exchange of your futile independence for His infinite strength. When you genuinely repent from your unbelief and believe that Jesus died for you, was buried for you, rose again, and now offers you His righteousness, something miraculous happens. You are born again. You become a child of the Most High God. And at that moment, all of the armour of God becomes yours.

Sinking Yet Secure On The Solid Rock

The Crisis of Sinking

Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

My Hope is Built on Nothing Less

When darkness veils his lovely face,

I rest on his unchanging grace;

in every high and stormy gale,

my anchor holds within the veil

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:

all other ground is sinking sand;

all other ground is sinking sand.

Between the Wave and the Veil

The experience of sinking is rarely a sudden plunge; it is a transition from confidence to chaos. When the storms of life rise unexpectedly—when the wind grows fierce and the waters of life churn beneath you, when fear grips your heart. In that moment of recognition, when we feel ourselves beginning to sink, there is a terrible clarity: you cannot save yourself. The Apostle Peter knew this truth in his desperation upon the sea, crying out in his drowning moment, "Lord, save me." His was not a prayer of calm serene resignation but of urgent need, the prayer of one whose feet and strength had failed.

In the first passage, we witness the anatomy of a collapse. Peter is not undone by the water itself, but by the boisterous wind. His sinking begins in the eyes:

  • The Distraction: He stopped looking at the Goal and started measuring the Gale.
  • The Weight: Fear acts as a secondary gravity. The moment he became "afraid," the buoyancy of his faith vanished.

This sinking is not unique to ancient disciples. It is the human condition itself; the moment when all your efforts prove insufficient, when the boisterous winds of circumstance and despair overwhelm the soul

The Counterweight of Grace

The second passage provides the internal scaffolding for the external storm. It shifts the focus from the "boisterous wind" to the "unchanging grace."

  • The Veil: Sometimes, the storm is so thick that Christ’s "lovely face" is obscured. Sinking feels inevitable when you cannot see your rescuer.
  • The Hidden Security: While Peter’s feet found no purchase on the moving water, the hymn reminds us of an anchor that "holds within the veil." This is the irony of faith: when you feel most adrift, you are actually tethered to something immovable.

Now, even as the waters threaten to overwhelm, remember—Jesus Christ is your refuge. He hears your cry, He reaches for your trembling hand, and He will not let you go. Trust Him, for in Him your sinking finds salvation, and in Him, the storm itself becomes a passage to unshakable faith.

The Unshakeable Anchor

Your anchor holds within the veil, fastened not to what you can see but to what you can trust. When darkness obscures His lovely face and you cannot feel His presence, the anchor remains. When you cry "Lord, save me" and hear only the roar of the tempest, the anchor holds. This is the paradox of faith: that you are saved not by sight but by trust in the word of God, not by understanding the storm but by trusting the One who calms it.

Sinking is not just an experience of despair; it is an opportunity to cry to the Lord for help.  It is in that very moment where the Lord proves to you and where you prove to yourself that Jesus Christ is your solid Rock.

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name

All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all!

The Same Power That Keeps the Universe Together

It is a proclamation. A thunderous declaration that at the centre of all creation stands a Name charged with all authority, unstoppable power, and eternal preeminence…The name of Jesus Christ

The power of God is not abstract. It is not distant. It is not theoretical. It is alive—embodied in Jesus Christ.

When we say “All hail,” we are calling heaven and earth to attention. We are summoning angels, nations, kings, and broken hearts alike to bow before the King of kings that cannot be shaken. The name of Jesus carries the weight of eternity. It commands storms to cease. It calls the dead to rise. It breaks chains forged in the darkest valleys of despair.

Every miracle recorded—water turned to wine, the blind receiving sight, the dead are raised—testifies to a power that knows no boundary, no law, no limit.

The hymn does not merely proclaim His power—it invites participation. “Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.” This is a call to surrender. To “hail” His power is to bow willingly. It is to lay down pride, fear, control, and declare that His authority is good, just, and filled with love. God’s power is not tyrannical; it is redemptive. It does not crush the humble—it lifts them.

There is something deeply humbling about the realization that the One who commands heaven’s armies also knows our names.  The power of God is not distant lightning in the sky—it is near, personal, and transformative.

The Peace Found in Crowning Him Lord of All

And so we hail—not with empty words, but with the weight of eternity behind them. You hail the power of Jesus' name because you have seen it work. You have witnessed it in the lives of those who were lost and are now found. You have felt it in our own hearts, transforming our deepest wounds into sources of wisdom and compassion. This name represents the ultimate victory: not of force over force, but of love over hate, life over death, hope over despair.

In this name lies the power that will ultimately restore all things. Every injustice will be answered. Every tear will be wiped away. Every broken heart will be made whole. When you hail this power, you are not merely reciting ancient words—you are declaring your trust in a future where suffering ends and the Lord reigns over the universe. You are acknowledging that despite the chaos of your present, you serve a God whose power is absolute, whose love is infinite, and whose promises are sure.

This is why we hail. This is why you bow. This is why, across all the ages and all the earth, countless voices rise in unison: All hail the power of Jesus' name. In those words lives your deepest longing, your greatest hope, and your truest assurance.

The Moment the Whole Lump Begins to Change

The Lie of ‘Mostly Good

Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump

When Sin Works in Silence

Leaven, a tiny ingredient, has the incredible ability to cause dough to rise, thereby altering its very nature. In doing so, leaven exemplifies how sin can ripple outwards, magnifying its effects far beyond its initial scope

The concept of a little leaven, is a simple image, almost ordinary: a pinch of yeast folded into dough. So small it can disappear between the fingers, so unimpressive it seems hardly worth noting. Yet once sin is mixed in, it goes to work quietly and relentlessly. Sin tends to spread where the eye cannot see, distorting the texture, the very nature of who you are.

The Spread That Destroys

The "lump" doesn't just contain the leaven; it becomes the leaven. Eventually, the original purity of the dough is gone, replaced entirely by the fermented sin nature. And so, do not underestimate the power of sins presence, sins voice, and sins actions.

The word of God uses leaven as a warning. A small sin can spread until it reshapes your entire life. But in contrast, a small seed of righteousness can transform everything it touches.

The Reason Why Your Almost Still Fails

You often comfort yourself with the math of "mostly.” You'll say, "I am mostly a good person," or "My life is 99% in order."But the law of the leaven ignores your percentages. It reminds you that purity isn't a volume game—it's a presence game.

There is a profound, stinging grief in realizing how a single, unaddressed shadow can eventually darken the rooms of our entire lives. You see it in the way one "small" secret can dismantle a decades-long marriage, or how one "tiny" seed of pride can topple a ministry. The tragedy isn't that you are "bad"; it's that you were careless with the small things. You let the leaven in because it looked too tiny to be a threat.

But here is the gravity of your story: Your heart is the "whole lump." It is precious, and without price, and it is worth guarding with a fierce, uncompromising hand.

Don't wait for the "big" sins to start fighting. Watch the borders of your thoughts. Be ruthless with the small bitterness, the tiny deceptions, and the microscopic greeds. The most courageous thing you can do today is to stop making excuses for the "little" things and realize that in the economy of God and your eternal soul, there is no such thing as a small compromise.

Protect the dough. Clear out the old leaven. Your peace, your integrity, and your very self depend on the purity of the grain.

Deep Roots, Unshaken Faith To Withstand The Storm

 Rooted in Love

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love

Imagine standing at the foot of a mighty oak tree, its roots deeply embedded in the earth, providing stability and nourishment. This tree has weathered countless storms, yet it stands tall and strong. In the same way, when we allow Christ to dwell in our hearts by faith and become rooted and grounded in love, we too can stand firm amidst life's challenges. We find solace in the knowledge that we are loved unconditionally, and this love becomes the compass that guides us through the darkest nights and the brightest days.

The Indwelling Presence of Christ

Christ dwelling in your hearts is not a passive wish but an active pursuit of a deep, intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It implies a journey of faith that goes beyond rituals and religious practices. It is about you creating a space where Christ can guide, and transforming your life. This dwelling is not physical but spiritual, an operation of the Spirit of God through faith, which involves trust and belief in his word.

Growing Spiritually

Growing spiritually involves deepening your faith and allowing the word of God to permeate every aspect of your life. It is a journey a transformation, where you learn to let go of your carnal desires and align yourself with God's will through the scripture. This growth is not always easy; it requires patience, persistence, and passion. But as we grow, we find that our hearts become more attuned to the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our lives become a reflection of word of God.

Final Thought

In conclusion, may the love of Jesus Christ be the soil in which we are rooted, and the foundation on which you stand. As you embark on this 2026 journey, may you be transformed from the inside out and a reflection of the word of God that is in you. And when the tempests of life rages against you, may you stand firm, steadfast and unmovable, because you are rooted and grounded in the word of God.

Alert, Alert…The Lord Is Coming Back

Behold I Come Quickly…

1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

The Element of Surprise

The imagery of a thief in the night suggests unexpectedness. Just as a thief comes silently and without warning, the return of the Lord will catch many off guard. This element of surprise serves as a call to you to be vigilant and ready.

  • Awareness: You are encouraged to remain spiritually alert and avoid becoming complacent. The verse indicates that full awareness of the event is essential; however, the timing remains uncertain.
  • Readiness: It acts as a reminder to align your life and actions with biblical principles.

Practical implications for daily life

  1. Live consistently: Shape daily habits (prayer, fellowship, faithfulness) so your life coheres with the scriptures whether the return is near or distant.
  2. Avoid moral drift: Make concrete safeguards against complacency (accountability partners, regular self-examination).
  3. Invest in others: Prioritize relationships and witness—friends and family who may be unprepared; suddenness makes now the responsible time to act.
  4. Be wise stewards: Use time, talents, and resources for the Lord's purposes.

Finally, for those who belong to Christ, the thief imagery is an alert, not a threat. Paul clarifies that believers are “children of light,” not destined to be overtaken by darkness. The same sudden return that brings vindication, restoration, and joy to those waiting in faith will in the Lord’s time bring sorrow and woe. The Lord’s coming is not an end, but a fulfillment—the moment when faith becomes sight.

The Heart of God Offering Hope and Redemption

Christmas: When Heaven Stepped Into Our Story

Christmas is more than a season—it is a declaration. It is the moment when eternity touched time, when God did not remain distant but choose to living among his creation.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hope

Christmas should remind you that God saw humanity having no hope, in darkness and answered it with Light.

John 1:5 The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The world did not recognize Him. There was no palace, no crown, no applause—only a manger.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Christmas tells the story of a God who meets you where we are so we might be led where He is. It declares that no heart is too far, no night too dark, and no life beyond redemption.

This season invites you to pause—not just to celebrate, but to receive. To welcome the Light of life.

Because Christmas is not about what we give—it’s about the Lord’s perfect offer to you.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Celebrate

This Christmas, gather with your family and friends to celebrate not just the holiday, but the message of hope, and redemption. Share your thoughts and traditions in the comments below.
